I had this bump on my arm for about 4-6 weeks. I thought it was a bug bite, a pimple, a growth…I didn’t know. It was hard and red and wouldn’t pop like a pimple. Out came pus…a good bit and blood. And, I noticed something white. While in doctoring myself, I tried to get it out…thinking it was pus, but it was harder and it wouldn’t just come out. It came out some and seemed like a hole would be left. I freaked instead and left it in. I went into a weird panic. It took a while to calm down. Then I cleaned it and went to bed.

Tuesday night, I decided I hated this bump and weird thing, so it was time to remove it! Really doctor myself! So, the weird thing is out and it left a hole. I cleaned it and bandaged it. Wednesday morning I looked up should it heal wet or dry. I found out that wet healing is best as wounds heal 50% faster and less scarring. A good way to wet heal is with a hydrocolloid bandage! Some other ideas are found here.

Hole was already looking better on Wednesday.

It’s Thursday and I put the hydrocolliod bandage on, which it can be left on for up to 7 days, as long as it doesn’t come off or wetness comes out. I can’t wait til this spot heals, and I still can’t believe that thing came out my arm!!!
