It was a wonderful surprise to be invited to another Crowdtap Sample & Share less than a month after I participated in the Old Navy Dress Sample & Share! I knew who I was taking this time, as she had helped me get started with “running” back in 2010. She was the reason I participated and enjoyed being in five 5k’s that year. I had wanted to continue on, but..well there’s always 2013.

I first explained to her how it worked (I get a free Old Navy product coupon and so does she) and then we wondered around the store picking out ActiveWear to try on…and of course, catching up.

Purple is one of my favorite colors…and I just loved how this looked on and how comfortable it was! I can’t wait to wear it out.

As a member of Crowdtap, I am a member of the Old Navy Style Council and was given a wonderful opportunity to receive a free Old Navy Fall Dress for me, and one for a friend! This was my third sample & share that I’ve been a part of.

The tough part was then to pick a friend to invite and join me in the fun…I invited my friend, Susan!

We went on a Saturday morning and ended up spending about two hours there. At first we weren’t sure we were going to find anything, but we both took over 5 items into the dressing rooms with us.

I think I tried on 6 or 7 dresses and Susan tried on 4 or 5. I really wanted one of the sweater dresses to work, they were so comfortable, but I wasn’t comfy with how to my body they were. Sometimes a dress seems like a great idea because of the color or style, but when tried on, it’s not right. Other times, we grab a dress just to be different, and that’s the one!

I just love the Fragrance Mist I got for free! It smells amazing – Cotton & Italian Mandarin! It is long-lasting…and did I mention it smells amazing? Finally, A New Job!

It’s been exciting and scary! Moving back to Orlando, and taking a job in another city. I was never one to commute to work, I always lived rather close…and made sure of that. Well, this time, we made the choice no matter what job I accepted, that we’d be in Orlando to be closer to friends.

So, I’m a commuter now. On the upside, I will be able to work from home half of the time. It’s really about the business need. Phew! The company I’m working for has a lot of amazing benefits and truly I hope I enjoy the job enough and they mutually like me, that I can keep it for a good long time.

Back In Otown!

If you know me, you know that I was jobless from January to the end of July. I searched and searched for jobs in the state of SC, then I started expanding my search. Then, a really crazy thing happened, my boyfriend decided we were moving back to Orlando. It was tossed around that I’d move back without him at first, but then bam…he was like I’m going, too!

Oddly or not, he got a job first, back at his old company. I was in the middle of a lengthy interview process, but in the end, …oh right, I got the job! LOL. So, just before moving back, we both got jobs! Woo!

Even before I got a job though, we had to get a place to live in! Somehow, one quick trip to Orlando and we had a lovely house rented! It was a whirlwind…seriously. We packed up….and moved back after being away for over a year.

We moved back almost four weeks ago. It’s been different, because I commute to work over an hour most days, but I think a lot is the same for Pete, because he works at the same place. It’s great being back around so many friends and so much to do here!

It’s also great to be planning our Halloween party again! Oh, yes! We have a new theme, and will be ramping up the decorations! It’s going to top all five of the previous parties. At least, that’s the plan. We have less than 9 weeks!

So, that’s the quick of it! We moved back to Orlando, because it was a lot easier to get a job again having contacts here. So, so thankful for that. So amazing that we got such a great house to rent so fast…and so wonderful to see friends again!
