Well, looks like in July 2013 I really picked up the movie watching! Quite a variety of movies and documentaries with 22 in total. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I don’t remember all of the movies.
Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption – I watch zombie movies, I started back in 2011, prior to that I never rarely did. Yes, I’ll watch good ones and bad ones. This one, I don’t remember, but IMdB does not give it a great value 3.3 out of 10. Hmm. Enjoy if you like zombie movies.
The House at the End of the Street – A teenager and her mom move to a small town. The girl becomes friend with a guy that is the only survivor of an accident that happened in the house. Man, this movie was creepy….and when you find out what’s going on…you just want it to end well for the girl. Jennifer Lawrence and Elizabeth Shue star…give it a try.
Egyptian Secrets of the Afterlife – For as long as I remember I’ve had a fascination with the Egyptians, and while I do not watch as many things as I used to about them, I still thoroughly enjoy hearing new theories. I think this had a mix of new and old.
Mayor Cupcake – Cute movie about a housewife that makes cupcakes and somehow becomes the mayor. Then, she uses her street smarts to clean up the town! Always a soft spot for Lea Thompson.
Girl in Progress – A single mom works hard to raise her daughter, while trying to make her affair with a married man work. Her daughter has other plans, based on all the coming of age movies, she plots a plan to gain adulthood on the fast track. It’s cute and heart-warming, and indeed has a happy ending. Awe.
Loco Love – Mismatched love – a man who had it all and lost it all, but still feels the world owes him and a woman who doesn’t want to let any man near her. In order to get the money to get his business back on track, the man must marry this woman so she can stay in the US and get her green card. You know this story…but that’s why you watch it.
The Factory – I started this movie, because of John Cusack, but it was hard to watch. So, I split up watching it. He’s a detective who is down and out, because he spent all his time trying to find a serial killer/kidnapper. That serial killer/kidnapper is out again, and at it again, and nabs the detective’s daughter! He goes crazy trying to find his daughter and ends up on probation. It’s such a dark movie, and finding out what is actually going on is so twisted…and the ending isn’t actually a happy one, but weirdly, twistedly satisfying.
The Expendables 2 – Since I watched the first and liked it, I wanted to watch the second. Action, big names, what more could you want? Yes, I will watch the third! Heh.
Cracking Your Genetic Code – A documentary about personalized gene-based medicine. If interested, check this out. It’s quite fascinating.
Forensics on Trial – This was really interesting investigating different areas of forensics: virtual autopsies, 3-D fingerprinting, and digital crime scenes. Documentary.
Mystery of Easter Island – Interesting look at how and why the Easter Island statues were put in place. Documentary.
This work does the fast generic cialis to a male body. With so many online herbal stores and local well being shops that carry a range buy sildenafil online of natural remedies. So, the idea is vanishing cialis on sale that cause so would get betterment in condition. You can easily search the drugs which levitra cost of sales find out for source you will get for yourself. Secrets of the Sun – A documentary about the sun using new scientific techniques to find out more. I liked it alright, but can’t remember it that well.
Playing for Keeps – A soccer star fallen on hard times, winds up coaching his son’s soccer team. Ah complicated life. It’s cute, it’s heart-warming, it’s family, it’s love. I liked it for sure.
Straight A’s – Pressured by his dead mother’s ghost a boy returns home to the life he left behind. Anna Paquin, Ryan Philleppe. This one has a lot of learning going on about the past and the present…and although the ending is sad, it’s bittersweet with a bit of happiness. Isn’t life like that?
The Gift – A woman with extrasensory perception is asked to help find a lost girl. I vaguely remember watching this, but ya…sorry! Lots of names in this one.
State of Emergency – A toxic leak in a small town and then people start to change. Not too memorable to me.
The Butcher’s Wife – Not sure if I ever watched this before, but felt like it. A clairvoyant thinks she’s met her husband to be in a butcher and quickly marries him. Of course, she’s so different from him, and meets more people in the city. Turns out, perhaps he wasn’t her intended…maybe someone else was! Demi Moore, Jeff Daniels, etc. It was alright.
Next Stop Wonderland – Life changes for an unlucky in love nurse and a plumber who live across town from each other. Ya, sorry I don’t remember this one, either.
The Dead Undead – Good vampires trying to battle zombie vampires, while trying to stop the infection from spreading. What could be better? Memorable it was not, but still might be fun for B movie lovers.
The Wolverine (Theater) – Another rare time that I went to the theater. All the hype and I was excited for this next Wolverine movie. Personally, I’d like them to move on and expand on some other X-men characters, but Hugh Jackman does play Wolverine so well. This movie had it’s moments that were good, were fun, but then it had some that were not so good. Still a good X-Men movie.
Housesitter – I’m sure I must’ve watched this a long time ago, but since I didn’t remember while watching, who knows. Anyway, it’s a classic ridiculous situation movie with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn, what’s not to love? 🙂
The Cottage (2012) – A couple rents out the cottage behind their house to a charming novelist, only to have their lives turn to hell. It’s crazy when you find out what’s going on…how involved it is…and what it takes to get out of the situation. Twisted.
