A few years ago, my friend SK, had mentioned that she and her husband, EK, would be celebrating their 25th a few years from then. She had big plans…and I kept that in the back of my mind that I’d be celebrating with them.

Well, last year we moved from Orlando (where they live) to Columbia, SC….and then earlier this year I lost my job..and still looking ATM. SK invited me to celebrate their smaller plans in Orlando…I’m sure with the expectation that Pete & I would not be joining (due to the above situations). I told Pete…and said we’re going…somehow we have to! SK & EK said we could stay at their place, well that helped tremendously! And, I got my tax return in time! I told them we were going, but told NO ONE ELSE in Orlando. We had not seen SK & EK in about a year, so we wanted this weekend to be more about visiting with them than all our other friends (sorry).

Less than a week before our trip, I told one friend, KF,…”we’ll be seeing you this weekend.” She was shocked! LOL! Love that we could surprise some friends…but only ones that would also be celebrating the big 25th Wedding Anniversary!

We drove down to Orlando on…Pete and my dating anniversary, April 6th. Traffic wasn’t bad…the weather cooperated for the most part…a lil rainy. We got into town earlier than expected and were able to stop by one of very good friend’s house – SN, while he was making dinner (well part of) to bring over to share with us at SK & EK’s. Then, we went to Khol’s because it turned out, Pete had left the new shirt we bought in Columbia, well in Columbia. New shirt for him…new dress & shirt for me (what?)…and on to SK&EK’s.

It was great catching up with all four of them…SK&EK, and KF&SN…dinner they all provided for Pete & I was very good.

April 7th was the day to celebrate SK & EK’s 25th Wedding Anniversary (not the actual date). Lazy morning…then once all ready…they had their portraits taken at the Florida Mall..and then we were on to drinks and dinner at Ocean Prime! SK & EK looked fantastic and were lovely hosts of their event…and provided white & red wine for all and appetizers…then even gave us all a cute lil martini glasses filled with M&Ms to commemorate the date! They are really wonderful people!

Sunday…KF&SN came over to make all of us breakfast…really nice of them! It was delicious! Have to say…this truly rounded out a wonderful weekend visit.
