Being a member of Crowdtap, sometimes the brands will have sample & shares where they send you a small sample of their product for you and one to share. This time, I was sent Truvia 2 packs with 55 cent off coupons – one to keep and one to share. Since, I also got the Truvia Brunch, I decided to just share both 2 packs.
Truvia is an all-natural sugar substitute, made from the Stevia plant.
At work last week, I asked two of my co-workers if they would like to give Truvia a try in their coffee. They were both game. T had never tried it before, but her mom loves it. And, M had never tried it, but had thought about it, since he uses Splenda.
T gave it a try first and she felt like it added sweetness to her coffee, but then she was left with an artificial sweetness in her mouth. She concluded that she wouldn’t buy it, but, she also said she never adds sugar to anything, just buy chocolate if she wants.
M then gave it a try. With his reveal that he loves Splenda, and having heard T’s thoughts already, I think it was doomed from the start! LOL. M didn’t think it sweetened his coffee until the artificial sweetener aftertaste. He was going to take the other 2 packets home with him and see if his 20 something children will like.
Sadly, I didn’t get any converts, but I put a couple of packets out by our coffee pot to see if my boyfriend will give it a try. I know he will! Heh.
